Local installers connect an outdoor kitchen to electrical, gas, water and drainage services. A utility interface drawing exists so that connection work is planned before the unit ships, not improvised on site. It is confirmed as part of the Technical Freeze, alongside the BOM, materials and finishes.
Electrical
- Voltage, frequency and plug/connection standard for the destination market.
- Circuit and connection point requirements for the confirmed appliance load.
- Confirmed against the exact appliance models selected — see appliance certificate verification.
Gas
- Fuel type (e.g. LPG or natural gas) confirmed for the destination.
- Connection standard and point, matched to the selected gas appliance.
Water and drainage
- Supply inlet and drainage outlet size and connection type.
- Confirmed only where the configuration includes a sink or water-using appliance.
Clearances
- Ventilation clearance around cooking and refrigeration components.
- Structural and anchoring clearance for the confirmed base and installation method.
Destination electrical reference (general standards, confirm against your local code): United States / Canada — 120V/60Hz, NEMA; United Kingdom — 230V/50Hz, BS 1363 (Type G); Australia — 230V/50Hz, AS/NZS 3112 (Type I). These are national electrical standards, not KAISTEEL-specific certifications — your appliance selection and interface drawing are confirmed against the standard that applies to your project's destination.
How this gets locked before production
The utility interface drawing is one part of the Technical Freeze package: it is issued with a revision number, reviewed against the confirmed appliance models and destination market, and signed off before purchasing and manufacturing proceed. Any change after sign-off is recorded, assessed for cost, timing and compliance impact, and re-approved — not made informally on the production line.
Ask for the drawing, not a description. "Standard interfaces" or "compatible with local utilities" is not a substitute for a dimensioned, revision-controlled drawing your installer can work from.
