Certificate verification

Does this certificate actually cover your order?

A CE mark on a range hood is not a certificate for the outdoor kitchen system, and a certificate for one model does not carry over to another.

Outdoor kitchens combine several regulated components — refrigeration, gas grills, induction cookers, range hoods, LED lighting, electric actuators, track sockets and, where fitted, televisions. Each one is certified individually, by its own component supplier, for its own exact model. A certificate that checks out for one component says nothing about the others, and a certificate for one model says nothing about a different model of the same appliance type.

1. Match the exact model

  • Brand and exact model number — not the product category.
  • A newer or regional variant of the "same" appliance can carry a different certificate.
  • Confirm the model on the certificate matches the model in your BOM and quotation.

2. Match the ratings

  • Voltage, frequency, power and — for gas appliances — fuel type and pressure.
  • A certificate issued for one voltage/frequency combination does not cover a different one.

3. Match the destination

  • Applicable country or region stated on the certificate.
  • For Great Britain specifically, confirm whether UKCA or CE (or both) applies under current requirements.
  • A certificate valid in one market does not automatically extend to another.

4. Check the document itself

  • Certificate or Declaration of Conformity number.
  • Certificate holder versus manufacturer — confirm they are who they claim to be.
  • Issuing body, issue date, validity period and how to verify it independently.
  • Whether it is a certificate, a DoC, a test report, or a factory management-system document — these are not interchangeable.
The most common false claim to watch for: presenting one component's certificate — typically the most visible appliance — as if it certifies the entire outdoor kitchen system. See compliance policy for how certification responsibility is actually divided between the appliance supplier, the manufacturing site and the importer.

How KAISTEEL handles this

At Technical Freeze, KAISTEEL records the exact appliance brand, model, ratings and destination market for your configuration and builds an exact-model, destination-specific certificate matrix — not a generic "CE available" statement. Supplier-issued conformity documents are checked against the actual model, market and validity at order confirmation before they are included in the order-specific Compliance Dossier.

Ask for: the certificate matrix for your specific configuration once appliance models and destination are confirmed, rather than a general statement that certification "can be provided."
